Meet Our Team

 
Andy Plagens, CPA

Andy has worked in both public accounting and private industry for over 30 years. Since 2011, he has been the owner of the firm. His experience includes working with businesses at all stages. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ouachita Baptist University. Andy is married and has an adult son and daughter. 

 

Ann Gadberry

Ann has over 30 years of experience in various administrative aspects. Her primary focus is client service and audit administration. Before joining our staff, she worked for an accounting firm in Dallas for over 25 years. Ann has two adult children and enjoys competitive running. 

Charlie Wetzel 

Charlie has several years of experience in various working roles. He is completing his degree in accounting at the University of North Texas. Before joining our staff, Charlie worked at a computer hardware company. Charlie enjoys listening to music and golfing. 

Cindy Breen

Cindy has over 30 years of experience in various aspects of accounting and client service. Her primary focus is on client accounting. Before joining our staff, Cindy worked for a local family office and a regional bank. Cindy is married and has two adult daughters. 

 

Janie Harbour

Janie worked as an intern for the firm for three summers before joining on a full-time basis in 2022. She completed her master's degree in accounting at Abilene Christian University and is preparing for the CPA exam. 

Jeff Laman, CPA

Jeff has over 25 years of experience in various aspects of accounting, technology, and administration. His primary focus is technology systems implementation and client accounting. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ouachita Baptist University. Jeff also has a master's of business administration (MBA) degree from Georgia State University in Information Systems. Before joining our staff, Jeff served in a complex role with a Fortune 100 company. Jeff is married and enjoys running, spending time with friends, and traveling for barbecues and college football.

 

Lisa Castro

Lisa has over 30 years of experience in various aspects of administration and accounting. Her primary focus is client accounting. She has a bachelor's in accounting and management from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a master's degree from Tarleton State University. Before Lisa joined our staff, she served as a senior accountant for several industries and held accounting roles at several universities. Lisa is married and enjoys listening to music, reading, and traveling.

 

Marilyn Hicks

Marilyn has over 40 years of experience in various aspects of accounting and administration. Her primary focus is on client accounting, tax, and firm administration. Marilyn received her accounting degree from the University of Texas at Dallas. Marilyn enjoys reading.

 

Sherry Vega

Sherry has over 30 years of experience in administration and accounting. Her primary focus is on client accounting. Before joining our staff, she spent 15 years in various roles of increasing responsibility with a manufacturing company in Dallas, Texas. Sherry has a degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. Sherry is married and has two adult daughters and one grandchild.

Terri Tyson

Terri has over 30 years of experience in human resources, payroll, and client services. Her primary focus is on client accounting and payroll services. Before joining our staff, she worked for a Fortune 100 company in the human resources and payroll department. Terri has an adult son and daughter and enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
